The EPICE-PT cohort included all births (terminations of pregnancy, stillbirths, live births), from 22+0 to 31+6 weeks of gestation, occurred between 1st June 2011 and 31st May 2012.
The EPICE-PT involved all of the public maternity units (n=27) from two Portuguese regions, the Northern and Lisbon and Tagus Valley, as well as three private units from Lisbon.

A parental structured questionnaire was applied by phone, by trained interviewers. This questionnaire focused on sociodemographic characteristics, school attendance,
health care use, and caregiver’s health [Short Form Health Survey (SF-12v2), Portuguese version].
